A Special Blessing

This conference was a special blessing from God that came at just the right time. As a pastor and father, I was struggling to find the right resources and gain a good providential perspective of history in order to better teach my flock in the home and in the church. My public school education left me ignorant and malnourished in this area. This conference gave me the perfect start to a lifetime of learning, studying, and teaching history in a way that helps all of us better worship and serve the God of history.—Joseph B

Full of Hope

Robert E. Lee rightly said that history “teaches us to hope,” [and] after attending Vision Forum’s History of the World Mega-Conference, I am full of hope. By listening to men expound passionately about the past, I can now more clearly see God as He has manifested Himself through people and events.—Rebekah Z.

Much More to Consider

The History of the World Mega-Conference lived up to its name! The content and speakers were fabulous and the event was very well organized which allowed for maximum benefit for those attending....

Although we felt we had studied a great deal of world history from God’s perspective in our home educating over the past thirteen years, we realized there is so much more to consider! For people who are serious about deepening their understanding of the working of Providence in history, this conference was a gold mine of ideas and topics just waiting to be harvested.—Erin H.

An Impact Far and Wide

I was impressed that people traveled from so many different and far-off places to take part in this conference, whether to speak or simply listen and learn. Happily, I was able to meet and talk with a few of these people. They came from Hawaii, Florida, Washington State, Texas, Australia and New Zealand, as well as other states and countries. They all shared a desire to learn and teach others about God and His hand over history. If they teach their children, and their children teach their children (and so on), this conference will have a generational impact on the world.—Christa E., Home School Student

Back to the Battlefield

We share a love of books and history and a disdain for much of modernity. My six year old son and my husband (a West Point graduate and Major in the US Army) particularly enjoyed [Mr. Potter’s] battle lectures. Kirk spent many hours studying battles at the USMA, but never in the light in which Mr. Potter presented them. It was a much greater joy to him this time around!—Mrs. Kirk H.

Words Cannot Describe

Words cannot describe the hope and the vision that my heart gained at the [History of the World Mega-Conference]. Such wonderful truths about God’s providence, mercy, and judgment throughout all of history were so boldly proclaimed that I had to examine my own heart and mind and repent of my own lack of faith in such an Almighty God. I learned that history is truly His Story, that it reveals unto us an infinitely more powerful and wonderful God than our minds can comprehend. My heart desires more of these wonderful historical truths that light up the paths ahead of us. I’m ordering the CD’s and hope and pray that my entire family will go to the next one! I also hope to go to Jamestown in ‘07 — you’ve convinced me! To God be all glory!—Emily W.

New Insights into Old Ideas

The History of the World Mega-Conference was a total barrage of invaluable and indispensable information. I was both overwhelmed and inspired....

By attending this event, I gained new insight into a framework of ideas, terminology, and Biblical methods of interpreting events and information from the annals of time, as well as our modern day developments. Defining God’s providential work from Creation to the present has become a more imminent possibility for me.

I would recommend this conference to anyone who is thirsting for that portal which will lead them out of ignorance and onto the stepping stone towards a providential view of life on this earth.—Marian J.

An Inspired Learning Experience

There were so many great lectures than I don’t think I can choose! I absolutely LOVED the field trip afternoon experience with Dr. Jehle in Williamsburg. That was a delight and a great way to learn — also a nice change of pace....A wonderful and inspiring learning experience—Susan M.

Oh, For Posterity!

The History of the World Mega-Conference was more than a dispensation of knowledge on the events in the history of the world. It was a time of restoration, a rebuilding of the walls.... I am now beginning to see the impact of the family, the patriarchs that have come and gone, and the historical record of either blessings or curses for the choices each one made. I see an intricate tapestry that must be studied for the lessons in weaving it can give. I feel the urgency of taking every thought captive for Christ. Oh, for posterity!—Jacqueline H.

A Testimony to the World

As Christians who know the One who is sovereignly controlling the affairs of men, our faith was strengthened by the wonderful accounts of His goodness throughout time and space. Even the disturbing aspects of history were faithfully taught in a manner that pointed to the grace of God toward sinners. The contrast between the meaninglessness of history in the humanists’ worldview and the hope that we know made us realize that history can be used as an effective means to testify to those around us.—Siblings Christine, David, and Emily A.

A Renewed Vision

I would definitely recommend this conference to anyone, Christian and non-Christian. I was greatly impressed by all the speakers; their knowledge and love for God, and their boldness in proclaiming without apology the absolute sovereignty of God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ over the affairs of men and the wonders of the universe was so refreshing to my spirit.

My vision for life and appreciation for history was renewed; my heart was overwhelmed with joy and renewed hope. The fellowship with other families was very dear and gave me great joy!

Thank you so much, and God bless you all!—Emily W.
