Would You Consider NCFIC as Part of Your Missionary Outreach?
May 9, 2006
WHAT I am asking...
The Apostle Paul’s method for missionary support was never to ask for himself but rather to ask on behalf of others. That is the intent of this letter: to ask you to consider the National Center for Family-Integrated Churches as part of your missionary outreach. For that is how we view the work of NCFIC-a support and outreach to help encourage and equip the Church of Jesus Christ.
WHY I am asking...
The work of NCFIC under the direction of Scott Brown has already brought great blessing to thousands of Christian families. Most significantly, the National Directory of Family-Integrated Churches has received nearly 25,000 visits and hundreds of registered churches and families in less than two months of operation. New family-integrated church articles are being written and posted to the NCFIC Web site (www.ncfic.org), hundreds of e-mails and phone calls are receiving the help they need, regional Uniting Church & Home conferences are being assisted, a national leadership network is being formed, and a host of additional resources are being developed. I wholeheartedly believe these efforts are highly worthy of your regular support.
WHO I am asking...
Are you a local church leader-a pastor, a shepherd, an elder? Is the work of NCFIC your vision for your church? Then please consider whether NCFIC might have a place in your church’s monthly missions budget. Are you a local church member? First be sure you are giving generously to your own local church; then if your heart burns to see God raise up more family-affirming churches, pray with your family about monthly support to NCFIC. Are you a “searching family” actively seeking a family-friendly church? Then maybe NCFIC would be a worthy recipient of your tithes at present.
HOW you can make a difference...
It has always been remarkable to me that just ten faithfully tithing families can fully support a laborer for the Lord. Likewise, ten generous churches can fully support a national ministry that can impact tens of thousands of God’s people with life-changing effect. NCFIC is made possible by the provision of the Lord through the gracious generosity of like-minded families and churches across the country. We are truly thankful that you might consider supporting our work. You can donate by mail or online; just be sure to note that it is “For NCFIC.” Click here to make a donation.
By His Grace and for His Glory,
Scott Brown
